Fat Doesn’t Make You Fat
Fat makes you full. It slows down the absorption of sugar (in the form of carbs, etc) into the bloodstream and helps your body to feel fuller longer, all the while slowly burning off. Fat is like a good mama. It holds you and sets you gently into your bed. It doesn’t drop you on the floor, and demand more whilst pinching your temples together and unscrewing your eyeballs (like refined carbs and sugar do). It also doesn’t demand clean up work. Poor overworked insulin doesn’t have to get out it’s mop and broom to come gather up the excess glucose (a.k.a. sugar) and store it in your trunk for future use. Instead, fat coupled with a nice dose of protein, holds you steady and sets you gently back into a state of hunger when the time is right.
