Marinated Asparagus (that you'd pay big bucks for at the deli counter)
Posted: Mar 02, 2009
A neighbor shared this recipe with me years ago. I still eat the asparagus straight out of the bag while hiding behind the refrigerator door (so I don’t have to share!). It’s so good and so easy!
Par-boil* 1.5-2 lbs asparagus for 1 minute. Rinse with cold water.
In a large ziploc bag add:
4 tsp. Soy Sauce
1 tsp. Sugar
2 tsp. Sesame Oil (toasted is good)
1 Tbs. Sesame Seeds
Mix/squish the marinade a bit in the bag and add asparagus (you can slice the asparagus if you desire or leave whole). Push as much air out of the bag and refrigerate for 2-24 hours. Pour into a bowl and serve!
*Parboil means boil water, and throw the asparagus in just long enough to barely cook it.
