The Controversial Water Bottle

Trying to choose a safe water bottle that doesn’t leach harmful chemicals into our drinking water sometimes seems about as impossible as getting a two year old to eat a bowl of eggplant with a side of brussel sprouts for dinner.

No Fail New Year’s Resolutions!

Yep. It's that time again. Time to utter those 3 words that mean almost certain failure is eminent. New Year's Resolution. Just the word "Resolution" sounds big and unattainable. Yet, it's a new year and gosh darn it, this is THE year. Unfortunately, as in all prior years, reality hits us in the head all too soon and we realize it's just too big to accomplish. So this year instead of resolving to not eat the entire pie, let's resolve to eat just one slice and enjoy every bite.

Silicone Baking Mats

I'm so glad you asked this question. I have wondered this myself and it prompted me to actually do the research! A few years ago I started baking all of my cookies on cookie sheets covered with parchment paper. I got hooked because my cookies would evenly brown and clean up was a cinch. However, I didn't like to continually "waste" parchment paper.

Caring for Stainless Steel Water Bottles

To avoid any sort of contamination it is best to rinse out, or preferably wash, your water bottles everyday. The key is to then let them thoroughly dry. Because hand washing isn’t my favorite item on my to-do list I usually buy stainless steel water bottles that have no coating or coloring so that they can go in the dishwasher.
